We’ve had an amazing week at Central Oak Elementary! The Caring Van will be on campus tomorrow from 2 pm to 5 pm so you can get your flu shot! 💉 --- ¡La camioneta "Caring Van" estará en nuestra escuela mañana de 2 pm a 5 pm para que pueda vacunarse contra la gripe! 💉

Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, December 17th from 4:30 - 6:30 PM for our annual Posada. We will have FREE backpacks with goodies **first come, first served** prizes, games, and food (some items will be for sale). In the elementary gym. Funds will go toward National Honor Society students and the Bilingual Program. --- Acompáñanos mañana, martes 17 de diciembre de 4:30 - 6:30 PM para nuestra posada anual. The elementary students had some special guests visit from Whoville during lunch. Our cafeteria staff did an amazing job.

🎁 We are grateful to the OCCC Students Connecting with Mentors for Success program for their generous donation of backpacks filled with school supplies and other goodies for our families. Updated location: Elementary Cafetorium Dear Parents and Guardians: We are thrilled to invite you to our Winter Holiday Concert on Friday, December 13th, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the Elementary Cafetorium! This special evening will showcase our talented Middle School and High School bands, along with a spotlight performance by our top musician ensemble. We’ve seen tremendous growth in our students’ musical skills this semester, and we can’t wait for you to hear all they’ve accomplished!  This concert is a major part of our program, and attendance is required for all students as it counts for 10% of their final grade. Students must stay for the entire event to receive full credit, and we know you’ll want to stay too—it’s going to be an amazing night of music and holiday spirit!

What is Chronic absence? It is defined as missing 10 percent or more of school days due to absence for any reason—excused, unexcused absences and suspension. This can translate into students having difficulty learning to read by the third-grade, achieving in middle school, and graduating from high school. We want to make your students successful. We hope to see all students at school after the break on Dec 2!
