One of our amazing students, Adelaide Holmes is interning with "Make a Wish" nonprofit and will be raising funds to help children in need. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten students had an egg-stra special time today during our Easter Egg Hunt! From colorful eggs to lots of giggles, it was a day full of fun, sunshine, and sweet surprises. A big thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers who helped make the magic happen—we couldn’t have done it without you! Nuestros alumnos de Preescolar y Kinder lo pasaron de maravilla hoy durante nuestra Búsqueda de Huevos de Pascua. Desde huevos coloridos hasta muchas risas, fue un día lleno de diversión, sol y dulces sorpresas. Dear Families, due to today’s strong winds, some elementary students experienced allergic reactions while outside. While we have not sprayed anything on campus, it appears that something may be blowing in from the surrounding areas. As a precaution, we are suspending outdoor play for the rest of the day. At this time, we are not certain what may have been sprayed or present in the surrounding area, but we want to keep you informed as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students. Thank you. --- Queridas familias, debido a los fuertes vientos de hoy, algunos estudiantes de primaria experimentaron reacciones alérgicas mientras estaban afuera. It’s that time of year again—State Testing kicks off this week for our awesome 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students! We’ll begin on Tuesday with English Language Arts, and we know our students are ready to show what they know! Please help set them up for success by making sure they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school on time. Let’s cheer them on—they’ve got this! Ya es esa época del año otra vez: ¡los exámenes estatales comienzan esta semana para nuestros increíbles estudiantes de 3.º, 4.º y 5.º grado! Comenzaremos el martes con Lengua y Literatura Inglesas, ¡y sabemos que nuestros estudiantes están listos para demostrar lo que saben! What a Week at Camp Goddard! 
Our amazing Crooked Oak 5th graders just wrapped up an unforgettable adventure at Camp Goddard—and WOW, did they make some memories! From digging for fossils like real paleontologists, to hitting bullseyes in archery, to hiking the scenic trails and sharing stories around the campfire under the stars—it was a week full of learning, laughter, and friendship. This trip wasn’t just about nature and fun (though there was plenty of that!)—it was about growing together, trying new things, and creating moments our students will carry with them forever. A huge thank you to our incredible staff, chaperones, and everyone who made this opportunity possible. Crooked Oak is proud to offer experiences that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and bring our students closer to the world around them. Way to go, 5th grade—you represented us well! ¡Qué semana en el Campamento Goddard! Nuestros increíbles alumnos de 5.º grado de Crooked Oak acaban de terminar una aventura inolvidable en el Campamento Goddard, ¡y vaya si crearon recuerdos inolvidables! Desde excavar fósiles como verdaderos paleontólogos, hasta dar en el blanco con el arco, pasando por senderos panorámicos y compartir historias alrededor de la fogata bajo las estrellas, fue una semana llena de aprendizaje, risas y amistad. Este viaje no se trató solo de naturaleza y diversión (¡aunque hubo mucho de eso!), sino de crecer juntos, probar cosas nuevas y crear momentos que nuestros alumnos recordarán para siempre. Muchas gracias a nuestro increíble personal, acompañantes y a todos los que hicieron posible esta oportunidad. Crooked Oak se enorgullece de ofrecer experiencias que inspiran curiosidad, fomentan la confianza y acercan a nuestros alumnos al mundo que los rodea. ¡Bien hecho, 5.º grado! ¡Nos representaron de maravilla!
