Dear Parents, Why do students get out early every Friday? It’s not so teachers can leave early—teachers stay on campus working together in what we call “Professional Learning Communities” or PLCs.

Think of your child’s teachers like a team of coaches. On early release Fridays, they:
*Share best strategies* – If a teacher finds a great way to teach something, they share it with others.
*Solve problems together* – Teachers work as a team to help students who may be struggling.
* Learn new skills* – From technology to new teaching methods, teachers use this time to grow professionally.
*Review student progress* – Teachers look at student data to plan how to support each child.

This time directly benefits your child with:

📣 Important Schedule Update! We will be sharing the new start and end times for each building. 🗓️ New this year: All students will be released early EVERY FRIDAY — no more just a few early release days! This schedule is for High School (COHS). --- 📣Actualización de Horarios Importantes! Compartiremos las nuevas horas de inicio y salida para cada edificio. 🗓️Nuevo este año: Todos los estudiantes saldrán a la venta temprano TODOS LOS VIERNES, ¡no más solo unos pocos días de salida temprana! Este horario es para la High School (COHS).

Class of 2025 Diploma and transcript pick up will be next Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 9 am-1 pm in the high school office. Students themselves must be the ones to pick them up. If you cannot make Wednesday, they will be available during office hours in the admin building beginning Monday, June 9.

🎉📚 If you live in the Crooked Oak district, you can enroll NOW! 📝🎈 We’re so excited to welcome your child for the upcoming school year! Enrolling early is very important as it helps us plan ahead so we can make sure we have the right number of teachers and classrooms ready for your students! ⏳ If you’re already on an approved Open Transfer, you do not need to reapply. Just mark your calendar to enroll starting June 2nd (Monday). They need to be seated in class by 8 AM to have enough time to finish without interruptions.
