|Richard Carcuffe Biography||
Hello. My name is Richard Carcuffe and I live in Noble, OK. Before anyone asks, no, I am not an Oklahoma Sooners fan. I grew up in Arkansas and have always been a Razorbacks fan. I ended up in Oklahoma due to my service in the United States Navy. I bet you’re asking yourself, “How did he end up in Oklahoma while serving in the Navy? There’s no oceans or ships in Oklahoma.” Let me explain.
I served in the U. S. Navy for 20 years, during which I was able to travel to places such as Japan, Europe, Guam, and Afghanistan, just to name a few. Eventually I ended up in Oklahoma as a classifier/recruiter. While in the Navy, I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Once I retired, I began my second career as a middle school math teacher and have been teaching for the past seven years. Currently I am in my second year of teaching 8th grade math at Crooked Oak Middle School. Three years ago I completed my Masters in Education with an emphasis on Mathematics.
I am married to a wonderful woman, Laura, who is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Human Relations. Between the two of us we have four adult children and five grandchildren, two of which we have adopted. We also have three dogs.
In my free time I enjoy watching the Dallas Cowboys (have been a fan since 1971) and the Texas Rangers. I also try to get out every once in a while and play a little golf. If I played it more, I’d probably be better at it.
