Growing up in Pasadena, Texas, I always loved school, finding my passion in science, but also embracing marching band, Academic Decathlon, and many other activities. My journey led me to the University of Oklahoma, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Secondary Science Education in 2017. I began my teaching career at Alcott Middle School in Norman, where I quickly developed a passion for working with middle school students. For four years, I taught 6th and 7th-grade science, Biology, and academic achievement, and my passion for education continued to grow. This led me back to OU to pursue my master's degree in Education, Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision. In 2022, I found my way to Crooked Oak, starting as the secondary art teacher, and instantly fell in love with this district. Since then, I've had the privilege of teaching 6th-grade science and serving as the Secondary Instructional Coach and EL Director. Through these experiences, I've truly seen what an amazing community we have here at Crooked Oak. I am so excited to continue working alongside all of you in this new role. My goal is to foster a vibrant learning environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve their very best. I look forward to connecting with each of you as we embark on this exciting journey together.

I’m Courtney Norman, and I’m honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Crooked Oak Middle School. I’ve spent the last 24 years working with middle school students, 19 of those years in the classroom and the past 5 as an instructional coach. I’ve had the privilege of working in both Mid-Del and Norman Public Schools, and I’m excited to now be part of the Crooked Oak community. Middle school is truly where my heart is. I believe in creating a positive, supportive environment where students feel known, challenged, and encouraged to be their best. I’m passionate about working alongside teachers, students, and families to help each learner grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I’ve been married to my husband Chad for 26 years. We have two wonderful sons, Teegin, who just graduated from Oklahoma State University, and Dennon, who is currently attending Cameron University. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me enjoying time at the lake or out on the golf course. I’m thrilled to be a part of the Crooked Oak family and look forward to a great year of learning, leadership, and PRIDE!
