My name is Jenny Fudickar, and I have been part of the Crooked Oak community since August 2020. I began my career as a middle school math teacher, where I taught for seven years, before spending nine years teaching 1st and 2nd grade. In 2009, I earned a Master of Education in Instructional Media, and in 2018, I completed my Doctor of Philosophy in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum. I have always had a love for books, and one of my greatest joys is helping students discover new stories through our library and Sora. The best part of my job is watching students light up with excitement when they find a book that sparks their love of reading!
Dear Crooked Oak Family, I am Susie Walters. I have been at Crooked Oak since August 2012 and in the library since 2015 and enjoyed working with our students so very much! I began my career as a classroom teacher teaching middle school reading. I LOVE books and love introducing our students to some of the amazing books that are available to them through our library, the Metropolitan Library System, Sora and other places! Most of all, I love seeing kids get excited about books and reading! The Oklahoma Sequoyah Award Books and Red Bud Read Aloud Books are always some of our favorite books every year. Of course, we also enjoy the old favorites, too. Our fall and spring book fairs are one of the highlights of every year in the COE library. I want to thank you for all the support you've shown with the book fairs! Thank you for raising amazing kiddos and blossoming readers! Happy Reading!!!
