As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 53, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, will hold a SPECIAL meeting on the 27th day of May, 2010, at 1:00 o'clock p.m., at the Board of Education Conference Room, Administration Building, Crooked Oak Public Schools, 1901 SE 15th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
AGENDA
The following is a list of the business to be conducted by the Board of Education at the above meeting:
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Roll call.
3. Board to receive bids for the $430,000 General Obligation Building Bonds of this school district and award bonds to the lowest bidder.
4. Board to consider and take action on a resolution providing for the issuance of General Obligation Building Bonds in the sum of $430,000 by this school district, authorized at an election called and held for such purpose; prescribing form of bonds; providing for registration thereof; providing for levy of an annual tax for the payment of principal and interest on the same; and fixing other details of the issue.
5. Board to consider and take action on a resolution designating the general obligation bonds of 2010 as “Qualified Tax-Exempt Obligations” pursuant to Section 265(b)(3)(B) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
6. Discuss then vote to approve or disapprove payment of $279,756.34 to Bass Geothermal Energy to be paid directly by Banc First using 2009 Bond Funds( Building America Bonds).
7. Proposed executive session to discuss the resignations of Nancy McIntire pursuant to Okla. Stat. tit. 25, § 307(B)(1) & (7).
a. Vote to convene in executive session.
b. Vote to acknowledge return to open session.
c. Statement of executive session minute.
8. Discussion and vote to approve or disapprove (one motion):
a. entering into the Settlement Agreement with Nancy McIntire; and
b. accepting Nancy McIntire’s resignation.
9. Adjournment.
